Problem-situations are problemcentered stories of practice that are used to examine and clarify the complexities of practice. Kemmis and McTaggart (1988) define action research as “a form of collective self-reflective inquiry undertaken by participants in a social situation in order to improve the rationality and justice of their own social practices, as well as their understanding of these practices and the situations in which these practices are carried out” (p. 5).
