<< [野孩子]---真正的中国民谣 麦田音乐推出新红白蓝系列 >> 邪恶背后—Cradle of Filth《Cruelty and the Beast》乐评 2005-09-30, by nocruel 关于Elizabeth Bathory那一段惨绝人寰的传说我早就略有耳闻。在过去一根筋的强烈正义感之下,我将其定义为“毫无人性”,而如今多愁善感的我却重新将她审视了一遍,将其诠释为:对人性的疏远。 这其中必定有一条重要的纽带,当然,这就是Cradle Of Filth 音乐 生涯中重要的里程碑《Cruelty And The Beast》。我承认在这之前我没听过歌特黑,所以我只能将感情融入其中,用主观的感受来臆断。当然,这是最好的也是最本能的做法。 专辑的Intro十分华丽,哀怨的歌特男声放射出慑人的绿光,像从古墓最深处传出的声音,似乎正准备向你述说一段古老的传说,一段惨绝人寰的传说,正如曲名《Once Opon Atrocity》,呈现出史诗般的美感。 作为重点曲目,《Thirteen Autumn And a Widow》自然在专辑中占据着重要的位置。此曲仿佛层层递进,咄咄逼人,可谓是血气十足,像Elizabeth准备重生后大开杀戒一般。词作显示出Dani对她的极度崇拜,尤其是一句“Elizabeth came to life again”,让人觉得不寒而栗。 曲末相对于前段的狂暴,节奏放慢了,配着背景的歌特和声; 吉他 的的晦涩音色就像一片片悲剧的碎片,挥霍遗失在时光的洪流中,再也寻不回来,堆砌着感伤;恐怖的气氛如同Elizabeth眼中喷射出的绿色复仇火焰,令人感到她挣脱了囚禁,步履蹒跚但坚定地向你走来,绝对有窒息的感觉。 《Cruelty Brought Thee Orchids》一开头就用了一句女声独白,将Elizabeth深入人心的吸血鬼形象和嚣张气焰暴露在人们的眼前,暴虐的微笑后却隐藏着一些呼之欲出的秘密。歌特女声与美的令人窒息的键盘音色与Dani狂乱的黑腔交织在一起,呈现出Elizabeth孤僻且不可一世的个性:正如专辑的封底一般,手里捧着一束血色兰花。有太多年轻美丽的生命断送在她手上,就像那束兰花,虽然绚烂,但转瞬之间就会凋谢。可是她也会为自己那野兽般残暴的行为而付出代价,她也会像那血色兰花般慢慢结出暗红的伤疤,待伤疤干裂脱落后却无法获得新生,任她用多么昂贵的化妆品来掩饰岁月的痕迹;任由她吸干多少女子的血液,用多少女子的血液沐浴来永葆青春都无济于事,最后,逝去的生命是对她疯狂施暴而被本性抛弃的一个强烈恣肆的嘲讽。于是,哀伤的主题慢慢浮现。 在经过《Beneath The Howling Stars》的疾速癫狂与《Venus In Fear》制造出的情欲与血腥高潮后即将迎来我的最爱《The Twisted Nails Of Faith》,我对这首歌曲的感觉很复杂且无法用言辞形容,它的旋律似乎比其它作品更饱含一种故事性,一种无可名状的感情,令人有一种想恣情恸哭的冲动。键盘的辅助音色制造出更加恐怖,更加跌宕起伏的感动。我的英文并不出色,所以乐队精美的歌词是在有些费解。其实,闭上眼睛不看歌词,用最直接的听觉去感受旋律,也能使人备受震撼。正如评论所说:讲故事一般的旋律与歌词制造了戏剧性的起伏,仿佛欣赏了一出出精彩的金属歌剧。 下一个凄美的篇章:Bathory Aria(巴斯里咏叹调)的《Benighted Like Usher》。这时,悲伤已显而易见。凄美如泪滴般的键琴前奏将我的情感融入其中:Elizabeth虽然令人恐惧令人发指,但她亦受过伤害,她失去了很多东西,所以她不加矫饰地以一种方式--兽性,最本能的邪恶方式来保护自己,却因为伤害别人灌溉私欲而陷入了罪恶的深渊,万劫不复。她头上的荆棘冠象征着她的堕落。词作则深切地表达了Dani对女伯爵的同情与爱怜:在撕开那一层充满狡黠扭曲的恶魔茧皮之后,竟也像婴儿般无助,所以她以最极端的方式在身边竖起一道道防卫墙。但她却忘了她用受憎恨,受唾弃,堕落等代价换来的短暂美丽,却也只是镜花水月,不堪一击。要醒吗?来不及了。继续堕落吗?是的,因为没的选择。曲末的一句“My soul to Hell for company”体现出绝望,以及含蓄地提及死亡。 咏叹调的第二支曲目《A Murder of ravens in fugue》,一首Instrumental,是我听过Cradle Of Filth作品中最感性最悲伤的曲目。一种近乎绝望显而易见的悲伤。这时已不需要用邪恶以及血腥去烘托主题了,赤裸裸的悲哀已挖掘出人性最深处的宝贵情感。是爱么?是怨恨吗?不清楚。却泪如雨下。这种具有延伸性的悲哀甚至让我想到《Dracula》的最后那隽永的一幕。 而第三首《Eyes That Witnessed Madness》的前奏依然体现着乐队对歌特气氛的出色把握,如天鹅湖般婉约,娓娓道来,有一种延伸感,散发着一种腐败的华丽。最后整张专辑在《Lustmord and Wargasm》 的完结中落下帷幕--却依然标榜着仇恨与嚣张。 邪恶的背后到底隐藏着什么?应该是悲哀。《Cruelty And The Beast》用极端的邪恶烘托着悲哀,哀悼了Elizabeth,哀悼了在她手中逝去的生命。这本身就是一个悲剧,无所谓虚伪不虚伪,无所谓暧昧不暧昧,只因为这些出色的旋律碰触了人们内心最敏感的一处,暴露了人性的弱点与丑恶。 也许我稚嫰的文字并不能说明什么,Cradle Of Filth在音乐中诉说的诗意重重的悲剧,需要你亲自去倾听。 (转自网络) 歌词: "Cruelty Brought Thee Orchids" Maleficent in dusky rose Gathered satin lapped Her breasts Like blood upon the snow A tourniquet of Topaz Glistened at Her throat Awakening, pulled from the tomb Her spirit freed eclipsed the moon That She outshone as a fallen star A regal ornament from a far flung nebular Her likeness hung in the black gallery Commanding unease Demanding of Death to breathe....
