刀枪Blue 苦中作乐笑中有泪 <<<Toyota 机器人 | 首页 | Subversion>>> 2004-03-27 20:18 Roomba, Segway & PackBot 看到Wired上的这篇文章的第一句“If you want to glimpse the future of robotics, look no further than Roomba, Segway and PackBot”，我还真有点被吸引了，所以就看个究竟。 本周在马萨诸赛剑桥举办了 Emerging Robotic Technologies and Applications Conference 。会议的组织者预计2005年用于个人和服务的机器人市场可达60亿美元。与会的大腕有Segway的发明者 Dean Kamen ，iRobot的共同创立者 Rodney Brooks 和Todd Jochem－－这个家伙在96年就驾车横跨美国－－别急，还没说完－－主要的驾驶任务是由电脑 完成 的。 简单介绍一下那几个机器人： PackBot ，美国大兵们在阿富汗用来探测洞穴的移动机器人，现在已经用在伊拉克帮助清除路边的炸弹－－如果还在国内，这应该是很好玩的游戏吧，至少当我们还是男孩子的时候，遥控玩具一直都是最渴望也最好玩的玩具，乐趣无穷。它还有个应用的兄弟 PackBot EOD ，专干拆弹的活儿。 Roomba ，Brooks的发明，是机器人真空吸尘器，现在已经在为成千上万的单身汉和带孩子的家庭打扫卫生－－我受不了了，吸尘器也搞得这么高科技@#$%^&....Brooks认为工程师们现在该开始考虑为老人们设计辅助机器人了，美国，欧洲和日本都在面临老龄化的社会压力－－我觉得还有一点他没说，就是这3个地方的老人们都有很强的消费能力，要不他干嘛不说中国，说非洲 :( ...... Segway ，Dean Kamen的发明，现在是 Cardea 的运动平台，后者凭借相机和声纳巡游，还能用机器手臂开门。Cardea的创造者还计划为这家伙增加更多的手臂，以便能同时处理两个或更多任务－－同时打开两个或更多扇门？我倒.....
