I always think it should be characterized with a distance function D by which an accurate evaluation could be given. Follow the suggestions of Dr. Richard Booth and Prof. Aditya Ghose, a specified D can be constructed now. But I can't help to worry about the generalized version of such D. Simultaneously, I also worry about the representation of Phi in which (Meyer's approach) contains no metaphors what I expect. Semiquantitative method is my favourite. In Eliezer L. Lozinskii's paper, an information theory based approach, which I like the most, has been given. By using such logic system, I can easily evaluate and compare the elements in the system. But how to adapt it into epistemic state is still a problem. For D, maybe I can find some good ideas from metric SCSP. Can I use a tautology epistemic state as a reference point?
