It didn't take me long to find a mortgage. The agent led me to two apartments. "No way", I told him, "they were bad even for dogs." So I went to the third one, at the eighth floor of a 18-floor building,behind the Left Bank Communication Tower, close to Haidian Bridge. It was considerably better, cleaner and air-conditioned. The girls living in it talked and laughed, remembered me of the old days at uni dormitory. And the color of its furniture, that reddish yellow, resembled that at home. The 16 square-meter room with two single beds charges 460 RMB per capita per month, exclusive of gas, water and electricity. I found it fine, so I said fine. Two weeks later, I was one of its residents. The first night my roomate talked me about her ex-boyfriend in U.S.A, her boyfriend-to-be in France, and her lover-or-not who is an alumini of PKU law school. The second day she said of her headache problem and delicate health. I was quite sorry for that, and willingly did the duty of the whole apartment alone. The third day was Satuarday. Satuarday was her day of rest and enjoyment. She went to her lover-or-not's new apartment, and didn't come back. The fourth day she asked of my boyfriend. I configured one that was of her taste. "My favorite," happily she commented. The fifth day I went to the Silicon Valley Computer Shopping Mall.
