Greysky <<<MU的点滴 | 首页 | 今天收到KATATONIA的双张精选~>>> THE CURE的NEW ALBUM在昨天正式发行了 我听到的可能是网上流传的PROMO，并不全 早上刚听到，第一首LOST，歌词中不止一次的听到I CANT FIND MYSELF，不知道是怎样一种感动，无奈，还有愤怒...ROBERT依然让我如此感动，来不及听完所有的曲目就要去上班了，我也不得不说一句“I CANT FIND MYSELF！” 转一段别人写的乐评 Review of international version (12 tracks) of "The Cur e BY：LVG "First, here is the final set list (the album was planed to be 66'57 with 14 songs) : 01 Lost (4'0 02 Labyrinth (5'19) 03 Before three (4'40) 04 The end of the world (3'46) 05 Anniversary (4'32) 06 Us of them (4'11) 07 Previous advice (4'32) 08 I don't know what's going on (2'5 09 Taking off (3'22) 10 Never (4'04) 11 The promise (10'15) 12 Going nowhere (3'26) 01 Lost (4'0 As I told you, one of my favorite song. It come stronger and stronger every seconds ! From the beginning to the last second ! At 1'30, I felt everything growing up : guitare, drums more powerful. The voice comes louder too. Awesome ! I think it will be the opening song for the gigs. A very good choice ! 02 Labyrinth (5'19) Some echo on the voice, like a reverb, as if Robert was singing in a "Porte voix" (a Megaphone in fact, but I don't know the english word for this). The drums reminds me the Close Down intro (Disintegration, 1989). I felt some rage in Robert's voice, especially at 1'20 after the beginning of the song. At 2'20, rythme come slowly, as the voice and overdrive guitare... At 2'45, rythme is back till the end of the song 03 Before three (4'40) Lound bass, more heavy. A more "happy" song, Roberts says "Yeah, yeah,yeahhhh" or thing like that. Something that I've never heard in a Cure song, and in a Robert's voice ! He's happy, for sure ! I heard larsen too The song finish with the Robert voice, nothing else but Robert's voice. 04 The end of the world (3'46) Everyone now heard this song. So I won't be long with it. First single of the album. One of the guitare sounds like Secret (1980, Seventeen Seconds album). Easy to play. Nice to hear. 05 Anniversary (4'32) A very long intro (about 1 minute and 4 seconds) : guitare and keaboard maybe. I wasn't able to recognize the sound ! Overdrived keyboard ??? I don't know... but sounds good ! This song is smooth. A kind of quiet one. Peacefull in fact... 06 Us of them (4'11) This song remind me on of the Wish album (1992). Bass, drums and a discreet guitare in the background The drums leads during all the song, a lot of breaks, and the toms (correct word ?) are used many many times. The voice is kinda aggresiv, close to a yelling scream 07 Previous advice (4'32) The intro makes me think of In your house (but with an heavy guitare) : Roberts plays only few "notes" (correct word ?) on the guitare, sounds like "arpege" (correct word ?). He plays it very fast, like a chord, and repeat it very often. These technique is used many times during the song, it's used to break the rythme of the song and to create another one. Nice song 08 I don't know what's going on (2'5 All the instruments start together. The shorter song of the album. I didn't appreciate it very much in fact Sounds commercial maybe, I don't know. But I didn't liked it 09 Taking off (3'22) A good rythm, heavy drums, a lot of toms, breaks, etc, etc... Solo guitare, sounds so Cure ! The drums breaks remind me Inbetween Days (The head on the door, 1985) A short song too, but very interesting one 10 Never (4'04) Big drums and nice bass too ! Guitare, with heavy effect and a keaboard on the background Different chords, played very regulary on every drums hit. The voice feets the guitare rythm perfectly. 11 The promise (10'15) The longest song of the album, the nicest too to me. Wah wah guitare, Overdrive 2nd guitare, bass, Hi hat... what a nice melting pot !!! A nice intro, one of the longest of the album (around 1'30) Robert's voice is very discreet at the beginning. The guitare remind me The Kiss (Kiss me, kiss me, kiss me, 1987) I felt Robert very,very angry ! Upset maybe, too ! Some quiet moments, then, heavy sounds are coming back... Wow, what a song ! 12 Going nowhere (3'26) The only song of the album to be played with a folk guitare. Piano and bass during the intro too. On the intro we can hear sounds like Siamese Twins (Pornography, 1982), you know, japanese sounds, iron belts hit together, from the smaller one to the longer one (see what I mean ?) About the words, sounds so sad !! A short song, but filled with huge energy and sadness ! My favorite one !"
