Increasing attempts to privatize resources previously held in common are affecting quality of life and cultural relations locally and globally. The lecture series forms a part of LIFT’s 5 year Enquiry into the role theatre occupies creatively and socially in our times worldwide. The lecture series is guided by Justice Albie Sachs, a member of South Africa’s Constitutional Court, and David Bollier, co-founder of Public Knowledge, a public interest advocacy group based in Washington DC.
