2003-07-03 读《还有一点感觉》之感觉 - From Linda When I started to read, I just can't put it down. I had to say it's a great reading material for our generation, especially to those study and live overseas to pursue our dream. I have been bit of previlige to be living in the States for a while, I can really feel the truth to support this novel. It may not cover one individual person's life, it definately throw casts to several people's living experience. My heart is heavy with the characters in the novel, they deserve more happiness, If they realize love can't work out between them two, let it go, since it's out of their own control anyway. It can only grow and foster in more suitable destination. For all of us choosing to leave where we grow up from, we have our dream, our reason or our reluctance to some extence. Life is full of adventures and excitement. As we are brave to take the risk, our lives turn out to be more colorful comparing with others. What we chose is a more difficult route in life, In the meantime it is a more interesting one. Exposure in the outside world helps to break through the cultural gaps and widen my spectrum. What make us successful today is not the qualification, but our ability to learn and adapt. In this material world, I sincerely hope people will still believe in true love. If God makes us come to this world, we shouldn't be alone, just like a pair of shoes can't go seperately. The hardest part though is how we can find the right one and make it a pair -- a friend of mine told me this. "Life is a box of chocolate, you never know what you gonna get." - another friend of mine share this with me. (originated from movie Forrest Gump - his dying mother said this to Forrest)

The reason she wrote this novel is to tell those who are still dreaming of US or abroad life that life here is cruel and realistic. Be sure what you want before you make the decision to pursue your dream. Since sometime, it is just a crystal ball. Appreciate what you have now.
