It is largely true that students nowadays can learn more information and learn it more quickly. However, it depends on circumstances. Some breakthroughs of science and technology have offered us certain innovative ways to acquire more knowledge indeed . Several decades ago , a term “internet” came into people’s life .This electronic revolution provided so simple a solution for almost everyone on the planet that we could get information with ease via a computer connected to internet. As a result ，it is possible for us to search and find nearly any information we need. Furthermore, on the basis of internet, a few of new products , such as electronic books, would probably be used as alternatives in order to make us access to a large amount of information. Modern technologies have also brought us convenience and quickness of learning. At present, electronic dictionary has played an important role in the study of English words. As a powerful tool, it takes less time for us to look up a word than we did in a traditional one before. Moreover, the capability of searching in electronic texts makes it possible to do this boring and inefficient work completely by machine and surely save us much time. But sometimes technologies handicap learning. With the mercantile success that many children have been addictive to electronic games, these new technologies inevitably reduce the young people’s time of studying. Whether the help can attain substantial effectiveness in our study depends on some of characteristics we have already possessed. If we persevere in studying, keep doing for our goals, and have no complaints of the tedious process, we can definitely achieve success step by step, especially with the help of modern technologies.
